Aliki Tsotsorou

Alice Tsotsorou was born in Athens. She graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Athens and pursued postgraduate studies at King's College, University of London. Her work on modern Greek literature and the teaching of Modern Greek as a foreign language has been published in journals such as "Chartis" and "Letters and Arts," and presented at workshops, European, and international conferences. She is a member of the writing team for three textbooks on teaching Greek as a foreign language. She has translated the books: "Greece and the Hellenistic World," "For the Fatherland - Patriotism or Cosmopolitanism?" and "The Influence of Mozart." She worked as a script consultant for a documentary about the poet Takis Antoniou. Her poems have been published in magazines and newspapers. In 2004, her poetry collection titled "Floating Voice" was published. Since the academic year 1991-92, she has been teaching Greek as a foreign language at the Greek Language Teaching Center of the University of Athens. She is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Modern Greek Philology at the Faculty of Philosophy of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She is a member of the Hellenic Society for General and Comparative Literature.
