Alexis Papachelas

Alexis Papachelas was born in Athens in 1961. He studied Economics and History at Bard College and later earned a Master's degree from Columbia University. He began his journalism career in 1983 as a correspondent for the newspaper Avgi in New York. Subsequently, he worked as a correspondent for Kathimerini and Mega Channel in Washington, D.C. In 1999, he returned to Greece. He was the main presenter of the show "Mavro Kouti" and later of "Fakeloi." Since 2007, he has been the director of Kathimerini.
