Kathryn Montgomery

Kathryn Montgomery is a professor of medical ethics and humanities at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and the director of the Medical Humanities and Bioethics Program. Her book, "Doctors' Stories: The Narrative Structure of Medical Knowledge" (Princeton University Press, 1991), explores the narrative epistemology of clinical medicine. Fascinated by the intriguing process that transforms medical students into doctors, she is currently writing about the development of clinical judgment.
