Michail K. Mantzanas

Michail K. Mantzanas is an Associate Professor at the University (Higher Ecclesiastical Academy of Athens) specializing in Ancient Greek and Byzantine Philosophy and a scientific collaborator at the Faculty of Philosophy of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. For several years, he has been conducting seminars on leadership and crisis management at Higher Academies. He holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Athens, and degrees from the Faculty of Theology and the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Athens, as well as from the Faculty of Law at the Democritus University of Thrace. He has been teaching at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Athens since 2000 at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as in the postgraduate programs of the Department of Biology and Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences. He has participated in numerous international scientific conferences both abroad and domestically. His works include: "The Concept of the Soul in Ancient Greek Philosophy, The Rational Life and Happiness in Plotinus" (Doctoral Dissertation), "The Ethics of Aristotle and the Metaphysics of Gregory Palamas" (Gregory Publications), "The Philosophical, Theological, and Psychological Dimension of Self-Knowledge according to Epictetus. The Stoic Way of Managing Relationships and Crises, The Mystical Life and the Management of Fears according to Epicurus." He has also translated two works for Vima - Hellenic Letters: David Miller's "Political Philosophy," Athens 2006, and Julian Stallabrass's "Contemporary Art," Athens 2007, and has published 30 articles in reputable Greek and international philosophical and scientific journals.
