Manina Zoumpoulaki

Born in 1960, the author grew up in Kavala and has been writing since the age of 10. She studied Art History and Physical Education in America. She has been contributing to magazines since the early '80s without interruption. Her work has appeared in "Ταχυδρόμος" (1982-1989), "Πρόσωπα," "Κλικ," "Diva," "Men" (1989-1993), "Nitro," "Down Town," "Elle," "Time Out," "PinkWoman," "Athens Voice," "Look," and "Home" as a journalist. She has translated around 30 books for "Κάκτος" publications (including Karen Blixen's "Out of Africa" and Norman Mailer's "Ancient Evenings") and an equal number of "Άρλεκιν" books. She has also worked in radio as a producer (Top Fm, ΕΡΑ 4, Κανάλι 15, Κανάλι 5, Μελωδία). Her books include: "Κενά μνήμης," "Μυροβόλος άνοιξις," "Φεύγα!," "Η ζωή (δεν) είναι ταινία," "Η σκόνη της ημέρας," all published by Ίστός. "Ριζότο (screenplay)," published by Λιβάνη, "Αληθινή σταρ," published by Ωμέγα, "Το μεγάλο καλοκαίρι," published by Interbooks, "Πώς να γράψεις," published by Interbooks, and "Ευτυχία," published by Παπαδόπουλος. Screenplays: "Ελεύθερη κατάδυση" (co-writer with director Giorgos Panousopoulos), "Ριζότο" (co-writer with director Olga Malea). Television scripts: "Φεύγα" (Mega series), "Ξέχασέ με" (Alpha series, co-writer with Vangelis Nasis), "Απαγωγή" (Mega TV movie). She is married and has three children.
