Manos Karagiannis

Manos Karagiannis is an Assistant Professor of International Relations at the Department of Balkan, Slavic, and Oriental Studies at the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki. He studied European Studies at London South Bank University. He holds a Master's degree in International Security from the University of Reading and a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Hull in the United Kingdom. He has taught International Relations and Strategic Studies in the United Kingdom, Bulgaria, and Kazakhstan, where he conducted empirical research on radical Islamic organizations in Central Asia. Additionally, he has served as a postdoctoral researcher at the Solomon Asch Center for the Study of Ethnopolitical Conflict at the University of Pennsylvania in the USA, focusing on political Islam and terrorism.
