Dimitris A. Malesis

Dimitris Malesis is a graduate of Panteion University (Department of Political Science and History). After completing a five-year cycle of postgraduate studies, he was unanimously awarded a Ph.D. in Modern Greek History with the highest distinction from the same university. His research and writing interests primarily focus on the functioning of social institutions in the Modern Greek State during the 19th and 20th centuries, such as the Army and the Church. He has authored seven monographs and over twenty articles published in peer-reviewed scientific journals and has participated in scientific conferences with presentations. He has worked at the National Centre for Social Research and has taught at Panteion University, both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as at the University of Thessaly. Since 2008, he has been elected as a lecturer at the Hellenic Army Academy.
