Athanasios Papandropoulos

Athanasios-Georgios Papandropoulos was born in 1940 and has been active in journalism for 56 years. He studied economic sciences, political philosophy, and communication in Belgium and France and became the first Greek correspondent in Brussels for the Lambrakis Press Organization in 1964. He served as a columnist and editor for the Economic Post during the periods 1963-1967 and 1977-2004. Throughout his career, he collaborated with well-known Belgian and French magazines, major Greek newspapers, and produced significant radio and television programs (ERT, SBC TV, Channel 5, Athens 9.84). During his professional journey, he has been honored with 42 international and Greek journalism awards; he is the author of six books and was elected a member of the Informal Senate of the European Union in 2002.
