Maria Pournari

Maria Pournari was born in Chalkidiki and studied mathematics and philosophy at the University of Ioannina, where she was awarded a doctorate in philosophy in 1994. She has taught at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the University of Patras, and the National Technical University of Athens. Since 2003, she has been an assistant professor of Philosophy in the Department of Primary Education at the University of Ioannina. Her research interests focus on epistemology, the philosophy of science, cognitive science, metaphysics, and modern philosophy. She is the author of the book "David Hume: The Critique of Causality as an Attempt to Establish a 'True Metaphysics'" (unpublished doctoral dissertation, Ioannina 1994).
