Kyriakos S. CHatzikyriakidis

Kyriakos St. Chatzikyriakidis was born in Evosmos, Thessaloniki, in March 1973. He graduated from the Department of History and Archaeology at the Faculty of Philosophy of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1995 and holds a master's degree in Modern and Contemporary History from the same department, graduating with honors in 1998. In April 1999, his master's thesis titled "The Taurus Mine (Bouga Maden) 1826-1924: Contribution to the History of Greek Settlements in Asia Minor" was published by the Kyriakidis Brothers publishing house. Currently, as a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of History and Archaeology at Aristotle University, he is working on his dissertation titled "The Metallurgical Settlements of the Greeks of Pontus from the Late 18th Century to the Early 20th Century," under the supervision of Professor Art. Xanthopoulou-Kyriakou. He also collaborates with the Historical Archive of Refugee Hellenism of the Municipality of Kalamaria as a scientific associate, while simultaneously researching the history of the Greeks of Pontus. He works as a philology teacher in private education.
