Nikolaos Mylonopoulos

Nikolaos Mylonopoulos is the Vice-Rector and Associate Professor of Information Systems at ALBA Graduate Business School. His educational and research interests focus on information systems for e-business, IT strategy, IT outsourcing, mobile services, and knowledge management systems. He collaborates closely with the Center of Advanced Learning Technologies at INSEAD (France) to develop advanced simulation systems that lead to complex skills in change management, collaboration, and decision-making. He teaches these subjects—using simulations—to business executives and organizations in Greece and abroad. He holds a degree in Applied Informatics from the Athens University of Economics and Business and a Ph.D. from Warwick Business School (UK). He has taught at the Athens University of Economics and Business, Warwick Business School, Loughborough University Business School, and Birkbeck College (University of London). Since 2001, he has been a visiting professor of E-Business at the Bordeaux School of Management (France). His research has been published in international academic journals such as "Communications of the ACM," "International Journal of Electronic Commerce," "Electronic Markets," "International Transactions in OR," "Journal of the OR Society," "British Journal of Management," and "Knowledge and Process Management." He has edited three books: "Organizations as Knowledge Systems" (with H. Tsoukas), "Social and Economic Transformation in the Digital Era" (with G. Doukidis and N. Pouloudi), and "Contemporary Trends in Management" (with H. Tsoukas and V. Theocharakis). He has co-organized two highly successful international scientific conferences in Greece (The Third European Conference on Organizational Knowledge: Learning and Capabilities in 2002 and The First International Conference on Mobile Business in 2002). He has participated in over 20 national and European research programs in the fields of telematics, electronic commerce, e-learning, mobile commerce, socio-economic sciences, and simulation, serving as a scientific coordinator for many of them. Additionally, he has worked as a consultant for major companies in Greece and the UK.
