Miltiadis Kipas

Miltiadis Io. Kiphas was born in Tyrnavos. He studied economics, philosophy, sociology, and political science at the University of Athens and Panteion University. He holds a doctorate in economics and social sciences. He teaches in the Department of Sociology at Panteion University. His research focuses on globalization and the Third World, the sociology of development, the socioeconomic transformation of countries from the former "real socialism" and their transition to a market economy, and Greece's role within the global economy, particularly in Europe and the Balkans.
