Dav Pilkey

When Dav Pilkey was a kid, he struggled with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), dyslexia, and behavioral issues. Dav caused such disruption in class that his teachers would send him out to the hallway every day. Fortunately, Dav loved to draw and create stories. He spent his time in the hallway crafting his own original comic books. In the second grade, Dav Pilkey created a comic about a superhero named Captain Underpants. His teacher tore it up and told Dav that he couldn't spend the rest of his life making silly books. Fortunately, Dav wasn't a very good listener.
