Greg Palast

Greg Palast was born in Los Angeles. He attended the University of California, Los Angeles, the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Chicago, from which he graduated in 1974 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and in 1976 with a Master of Business Administration. He turned to journalism after working for two decades as a leading investigator in cases of corporate fraud and racketeering. His reports have been featured on Newsnight and published in the Guardian, Rolling Stone, and Harper's. Among other accolades, he has received the George Orwell Award for Courage in Journalism for the documentary "Bush Family Fortunes" on the BBC. He is the author of the bestsellers "The Best Democracy Money Can Buy," "Armed Madhouse," and "Billionaires & Ballot Bandits." He resides in New York.
