Stayros K. Archontakis

Stavros Archontakis was born in Athens in 1970. He graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Military School of Corps Officers in 1996. He further graduated from the Health Application School in 1997. He served as a military doctor in Ferres and Thebes and specialized in cytology at the "Saint Savvas" Oncology Hospital. He is currently the director of the Cytology Laboratory at the 401 General Army Hospital of Athens. He has worked for six years as an instructor at public Institutes of Vocational Training (IEK). He is a certified trainer by the National Certification Center and has served as an examiner for both theoretical and practical certification exams for IEK graduates. Stavros Archontakis has authored a series of medical books that have received favorable reviews and have been successfully circulated in the market. He is a member of the International Society of Greek Writers, the Union of Greek Writers, and the Society of Physician Writers. He has been awarded the Gold Medal in Poetry at the Cultural Olympiad in Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008, as well as the Socrates 2006 and Homer 2007 awards for cultural contribution. He has written three poetry collections: - "Nothing Fatal in Advance, Nothing Random Afterwards" - "She Was Called Chrysa" - "Crossroads of Love" Parts of his poetry collections have been translated into English and French. He has also contributed to the publication of two poetry anthologies. These poetry collections have repeatedly been honored by the International Society of Greek Writers, the Union of Greek Writers, the Literary Academy "Goddess Athena," and numerous local organizations.
