Stavros Theodorakis was born in 1963 in a village in Chania and grew up in a neighborhood in Western Athens. He began his journalism career in 1984 with the state radio, continued with the left-wing "Proti," and when it closed, he started writing for the conservative "Mesimvrini." Following a personal rule to change everything every four years, he has worked at nine radio stations (including SKAI and 902 Aristera sta FM), six magazines, four television stations, and has conducted political interviews for "Kyriakatiki Eleftherotypia" and "To Vima tis Kyriakis." Alongside journalism, he has been involved in the education of the Roma community and Cretan cuisine (which led him to co-found the restaurant Alatsi with friends in 2005). For several years, he has been presenting "Protagonistes" on Mega and "Other Protagonists" in "Ta Nea." In 2009, along with other renowned journalists, he co-founded www.protagon.gr, a website that hosts stories to encourage different ways of thinking.
