Nikos Nagopoulos

Nikos Nagopoulos was born in Thessaloniki. He completed his studies in sociology and sociolinguistics at the University of Heidelberg. He is an assistant professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of the Aegean, specializing in the Methodology and Theory of Social Sciences and the Sociology of Knowledge. He participates as a coordinator and instructor in the course titled "Theory and Sociology of Organizations" in the Master's Program titled: Research for Local Social Development and Cohesion at the Department of Sociology, University of the Aegean. He has served as an academic expert and researcher for the Ministries of Labor and Social Protection of Greece and Cyprus, focusing on the utilization of social scientific knowledge in the National Action Plans for Employment and Social Protection and on the integration of equal treatment principles into Cypriot legislation.
