Niki Troullinou

Niki (Koukoumaki) Troullinou was born in 1953 in Chania. She studied law at the University of Athens during the years of the dictatorship. Since 1979, she has been living in Heraklion. She has practiced law and taught. Today, she is involved in agritourism. She has written short stories, a novel, essays, and travel literature. Her first collection of short stories, "A Pencil on the Nightstand," was published in 1995 (Analogia Editions, Heraklion Crete, second edition Kedros, 2010, reprint 2011). This was followed by two more collections: "Maral as Maria," published by To Rodakio in 2002, and "And the South Wind Blew.....," published by To Rodakio in 2006, as well as the novel "With a Crate of Beers," published by Kedros in 2009. Her works have been translated into English, Turkish, and Italian. She is a member of the Society of Authors.
