Michalis Ignatiou

Michalis Ignatiou is a journalist and author. He began his career at the newspaper Proini in New York. He has worked for the National Herald of New York and Mesimvrini. He has served as a correspondent for Mega and Ethnos at the International Monetary Fund and the State Department. He collaborates with the newspaper Phileleftheros in Nicosia and the TV station TV ONE in Cyprus, based in Washington, D.C. He is the author of several books, including "The Rome Seminar" (Pontiki Publications), "The Secret Files of Kissinger" with Kostas Venizelos, "Annan Plan - The Secret Bargain" with Kostas Venizelos and Nikos Meletis, "Imia: The Secret American Telegrams" with Athanasios Ellis, and "CIA: The Secret File of Andreas" with Professor Marios Evriviades. He also contributed, mainly in research, to the book "Who Really Governs This Country?" by Kostas Papaioannou. He is a member of a research team that systematically works on the declassification of documents from the White House, the State Department, and the CIA. He was part of the research team that uncovered thousands of pages of documents from Henry Kissinger's archive. He is a member of the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), the State Department Correspondents Association (SDCA), and the United Nations Correspondents Association (UNCA). He is married to university professor Dody Tsiantar, and they have a son, Andreas.
