Loukianos CHasiotis

Loukianos Chasiotis is a graduate and holds a doctorate from the Department of History and Archaeology at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). He has worked as a research associate at the Institute for Balkan Studies (IMXA) in Thessaloniki (2001-2003) and at the Department of Balkan Studies at the University of Western Macedonia in Florina (2001-2004). Since September 2004, he has been teaching modern and contemporary European history at the Department of History and Archaeology. He has participated in academic conferences and seminars in Greece and abroad, as well as in research programs for institutions in Thessaloniki, such as IMXA and the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle. His research interests include inter-Balkan relations, European ideological movements (18th-20th centuries), the total wars of the 20th century, and state policies for children during the civil wars in Spain and Greece.
