As an independent expert, he has also participated in research committees of the European Union. Since 2004, he has been part of the Franco-German group of academics organizing postgraduate seminars in social sciences in African (sub-Saharan) countries. He has authored numerous studies related to the hierarchical structure of law, the sociological examination of developments in the field of collective bargaining in Western European countries, the empirical research of the phenomenon of home-based work and its degree of protection, and more generally, theoretical sociology and the theory of law. He has also written studies on individual and collective labor relations as well as broader social rights.
