Tzelina CHarlayti

Jelina Harlafti graduated from the University of Athens and completed her postgraduate studies at the universities of Cambridge and Oxford. She is an assistant professor in the Department of Maritime Studies at the University of Piraeus. She is the author of a significant number of articles and books, including "Greek Shipowners and Greece 1945-1975" (1993), "Global Markets: The Internationalization of Sea Transport Industries since the 1850s" (1998), and "History and Shipping, 16th-20th Century" (2001). She has served as a visiting professor at universities in Canada and England and is the vice-chair of the editorial board of the international scientific journal "International Journal of Maritime History."
