
CHristos CHristodoulou
Christos K. Christodoulou is a journalist and author from Xanthi. He studied journalism, public relations, business administration, and film directing. He has worked for numerous newspapers and magazines, as well as for ERT (Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation). He served as the editor-in-chief of the Athens offices for the newspapers "Macedonia" and "Thessaloniki," the director of the Thessaloniki offices for the newspaper "Eleftheros Typos," and the director of ERT's satellite program. He was the head of the Press Office for the caretaker Prime Minister and President of the Supreme Court, Mr. Ioannis Grivas, and a press advisor to Prime Minister Xenophon Zolotas. He worked as a foreign correspondent for Cypriot, French, and American media. During the Junta, he founded the art cinema "Alkyonis." He produced over 1,000 documentaries, filmed by ERT between 1978 and 2003, which were praised by Greek television critics. These documentaries ("ERT in Northern Greece," "ERT Across Greece," "Traveling," "The Alexander the Greats of the New World," "Cyprus the Holy Island," etc.) focused on Greece and the Greek diaspora. He is also a co-producer of the international television series "The Olympic Games in Ancient Greece," which has been honored at numerous foreign sports and archaeological documentary festivals. In 2006, he was awarded the Botsis Journalism Award. He has authored books such as "The Photogenic Balkans of the Manaki Brothers," "The Publisher Ioannis Vellidis," "The Three Burials of Hasan Tahsin Pasha," among others. In 2006, he was honored with the Botsis Foundation Journalism Award. He is a contributing columnist for the newspaper "Macedonia" and other Greek and foreign media. His books have been translated into English and Turkish.
