Panagiotis K. Ioakeimidis

Panagiotis K. Ioakeimidis is a professor in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at the University of Athens. As an ambassador/expert for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he has participated in all major EU negotiations, including the Intergovernmental Conferences for the drafting of the Single European Act, the Maastricht Treaty on European Union, and the Amsterdam Treaty. He served as Greece's representative at the Intergovernmental Conference for the drafting of the Treaty of Nice and as an alternate member of the European Convention for the drafting of the European Constitution. He is a member of the Boards of Directors of ELIAMEP and OPEC. Among other roles, he has served as President and General Director of the Hellenic Center for European Studies (EKEM), and as a member of the Independent Commission for the Comprehensive Review of the Institutions and Procedures of the Union, as well as other scientific associations. He has authored numerous books and articles on European integration, international relations, and Greece's foreign policy.
