Efi Gazi

Effie Gazi was born in Lefkada in 1966. She is a lecturer in the Department of History, Archaeology, and Social Anthropology at the University of Thessaly. She studied history at the University of Athens and the University of Essex (United Kingdom). She received her Ph.D. from the European University Institute in Florence (1997) and was a postdoctoral fellow at Princeton University (USA). She has taught at the University of Crete, the University of Athens, and Brown University (USA). She has published the study "Scientific National History: The Greek Case in Comparative Perspective (1850-1920)" as well as articles on issues of intellectual and cultural history and the history of historiography. She is a member of the editorial team of the journal "Historein."
