
CHaralampos Noutsos
Charalampos Noutsos was born in 1946 in Elliniko, Ioannina. He completed primary school in his village, attended the Gymnasium of the Zosimaia School of Ioannina for two years, and studied for six years at the Vellas Ecclesiastical School of Ioannina, where he earned his teaching degree (1966). In the same year, after passing the Academic Diploma exams, he enrolled in the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Ioannina, from which he graduated with a degree in Classical Studies (1971). As an assistant in the then Department of Pedagogy at the Faculty of Philosophy in Ioannina, he defended his doctoral dissertation (1979). From 1979 to 1981, he pursued postgraduate studies in the Sociology of Education at the University of Rene Descartes (Paris V) to obtain a state doctoral diploma (Doctorat d'Etat).
In the first semester of the academic year 1988-89, he worked as a visiting researcher at the University of Illinois, USA, in the Department of Educational Policy Studies. In 1990, he was appointed Professor of Pedagogy in the Department of Philosophy, Pedagogy, and Psychology at the University of Ioannina, where he teaches the history and sociology of education. He has published books, pedagogical studies, and articles in both Greek and international journals and commemorative volumes.
