
Petros A. Kiochos
Petros Kiochos is a professor at the University of Piraeus. He has served as Deputy Chair of the Department of Statistics and Insurance Science at the University of Piraeus and as Vice President and President of the Supervisory Board of the Body of Chartered Accountants.
He teaches in the Master's Program with a focus on "Statistical Methods in the Real Estate Market" at the Department of Statistics of the Athens University of Economics and Business, covering courses such as "Introduction to Real Estate Market Valuation Science - Valuation Methods" and "Real Estate Valuation Standards."
He is the President of the Greek Society of Economic History.
He has also held positions as:
- President, Vice President, and General Secretary of the Hellenic Econometric Institute.
- Founding member, Vice President, and Director of Studies at the Hellenic Institute of Valuation.
- Director at the School of Management and Economics of the Piraeus University of Applied Sciences and Vice President at the Research Center of the same institution for six years.
- Vice President of the Supreme Council for Professional Certification and was involved in drafting the Valuer Certification Regulation of Pr Cert Hellas.
- Deputy Chair of the Committee established at the Ministry of Economy and Finance for the management and evaluation of Public and Exchangeable properties.
- Member of the Scientific Committee for the creation of property value change indices in the Attica region.
- Editor-in-Chief and owner of the scientific journal "Archives of Economic History," which is referenced in the bibliographic references of the American Economics Association and is internationally recognized.
- Regular member of the Governing Committee at the Department of Technological Education and Digital Systems at the University of Piraeus.
- Vice President of the Teaching and Research Staff Association at the University of Piraeus.
- Member of the Senate, the Asylum Committee, and the Research Center at the University of Piraeus.
- He has organized, as director of studies, many long-term and short-term specialization programs in real estate valuation methodology, contractor specialization, and real estate brokerage.
- President of the Scientific Council of the Valuation Company Kyros Appraisal.
- Regular member of the committee for the cost of living index in our country from 1977-1994.
He has participated in 42 international and national conferences and dozens of seminars and has published numerous papers. He has taught various courses at the Hellenic Air Force Academy, the Piraeus University of Applied Sciences, the Hellenic Army Academy, the OTE Academy, the Statistics School of the A.B.S.P., the National School of Public Administration, the University of Piraeus, and a postgraduate program at the Piraeus University of Applied Sciences in collaboration with a British university.
