Rita Athanasiadou was born in Athens. After graduating from the American College, she pursued Business Administration studies at Deree College. Specializing in Public Relations, she worked exclusively in the hotel industry for ten years. With the publication of her first novel, she decided to pause her professional career and study French Philology at the Sorbonne University. Her works "Del Monte" (1988), "Semiramis" (1990), "In the Shadow of Shades" (1995), and "The Portrait of a Stranger" (1999) are published by "Livanis Publishing House." From Libro Editions, the books "Walks in Rome" and "A Year in Tuscany" are available, which are part of a trilogy that will be completed with the author's exploration of Venice. Alongside writing, she engaged in the critique of 19th-century French art and the study of Italian Renaissance art, for which she wrote the television documentary "Roma Citta dell' Eterna Femminilita." She lives in Rome and frequently visits Athens.
