Lampros Papagiannis

Lambros Papagiannis, originally from Thessaloniki and Cyprus, was born and raised in Thessaloniki. He studied Philology at Democritus University of Thrace (Komotini), Religious Studies in London, and Philosophy at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where he also completed and defended his doctoral dissertation. His academic interests primarily, but not exclusively, focus on ancient philosophy, particularly the comparative philosophy among the three ancient civilizations (Greece, China, India). He has published articles in both academic and non-academic journals and has participated in international and local conferences on topics such as ontology and metaphysics, epistemology, political philosophy, philosophy of language, and philosophy of film, as well as literature-related issues. He is a member of the Hellenic Philosophical Society and the Greek-Indian Cultural and Development Association. He has delivered lectures as a guest speaker at the Department of Pedagogy of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Beijing Institute of Education, as well as at the Department of Theology of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Since 2016, he has been teaching Modern Greek and Greek Culture as an Assistant Professor at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS) in southern China.
