Giota Diakou

Giota Ch. Diakou, apart from being an avid writer and reader of stories, enjoys playing and spending creative time with her three daughters. Her favorite game is dressing up as pirates and planning treasure hunts in the most unexpected places around the house. She also loves crafting, creating stained glass, and making glass art. When she expresses herself creatively, she loses track of time. To be honest, she and time don't get along very well, as they are constantly searching for each other! She loves trying new things because she feels like she's adding another stroke to the canvas of life. She adores yoga, meditation, and horseback riding in nature. However, her most special moments are when she's swimming or diving in the sea. To be able to converse with the magical underwater world every night, she has set up an aquarium in the middle of her home! She is crazy about traveling and dreams of going around the world in a hot air balloon or at least exploring a new planet! She is a devoted fan of juicy fruits and has an unwavering passion for mysteries, hats, and earrings! When she's not doing all of the above, she works as a teacher in Primary Education in Cyprus. She studied Educational Sciences at the University of Cyprus and holds a master's degree with distinction from the University of London. She loves teaching literature and creative writing, as well as organizing interactive reading workshops. In 2018, she was awarded by the Cyprus Association of Children's and Young Adult Books (CyACYA) as a debut author.
