You Jeong Jeong

You-Jeong Jeong (1966) was born in South Korea and studied nursing. She is a leading figure in crime and psychological thrillers in her country, often regarded as the Korean version of Stephen King and frequently compared to Raymond Chandler. Her works have been translated into Chinese, Japanese, French, German (with Die Zeit including her debut, "Seven Years of Darkness," among the top ten crime novels of 2015), Thai, and Vietnamese. "The Good Son" is her first book to be translated into English.
