Ntora Giannakopoulou

Dora Giannakopoulou was born and raised in Mytilene. After completing her theater studies in Athens, she performed and sang in the play "The Hostage" by Brendan Behan, directed by Leonidas Trivizas at the "Circular Theater," featuring songs composed by Mikis Theodorakis for the production. This marked the beginning of her parallel career in theater and music, with contemporary appearances in theater, cinema, and the first music venues in Plaka. She released records with songs from "The Hostage" and continued with "Beautiful City" by Theodorakis - Bost - Kakogiannis, and shortly after with "Small Cyclades" by Odysseas Elytis. During the Junta, she moved abroad, where she toured Western and Eastern European countries with a small group, presenting a unique program based on Mikis Theodorakis's music. After the restoration of democracy in Greece, she almost immediately ceased her theater and music activities. "The Wedding Dress Rehearsal," released in November 1993, is her first novel. In reality, it is her first written work, followed by a short story titled "O Papardos" published in "Lexi" in March 1995. Her second novel, "The Great Anger," was released in September 1996. Both novels were adapted into television series, the first on ANT-1 and the second on MEGA, directed by Kostas Koutsomytis. Her other novels include "Through the Eyes of Love" (1999), "The Three Widows" (2001), which was adapted into a series on ALPHA, "My Sinful Angel" (2002), "Love with Obstacles" (2004), "The Pendant" (2007), "Guilty Secrets" (2009), and "Dying for You" (2011).
