Corine Pelluchon

Corine Pelluchon was born in 1967 in Barbezieux-Saint-Hilaire, France. She studied philosophy at Paris IV University (Sorbonne), where she earned her doctorate. An agrégée in philosophy, she is a professor of philosophy and ethics at the University of Paris-Est-Marne-la-Vallée. She has been awarded the François Furet Prize for her book "Leo Strauss: une autre raison, d’autres Lumières," the Grand Prix Moron of the French Academy for her book "Elements pour une éthique de la vulnérabilité: les hommes, les animaux, la nature," the Édouard Bonnefous Prize of the French Academy of Moral and Political Sciences for her book "Les Nourritures: philosophie du corps politique," and the Paris-Liège Prize for the same book. She is a member of the Scientific Council of the Nicolas Hulot Foundation for Nature and Mankind and has been actively involved in ecology and animal advocacy, particularly with her book "Manifeste animaliste."
