Markos Troulis

Dr. Markos Troulis is a Lecturer at the Department of Turkish Studies and Modern Asian Studies of the School of Political and Economic Sciences at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, as well as at the School of National Security. He completed his postgraduate studies at the London School of Economics (LSE) and his doctoral dissertation at the University of Piraeus, focusing on post-Cold War Turkish strategic behavior in the Caucasus and Central Asia through the lens of international relations theory. He has served as a researcher at the Hellenic Centre for European Studies (EKEM) and the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies in Israel as a scholar of the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY). He conducted two postdoctoral research projects at the University of Piraeus and the University of Macedonia, receiving high distinction. His writings are published in Greek and international scientific journals, and he is also a regular columnist for newspapers and websites.
