
Nikos Papadatos
Nikos Papadatos holds a Ph.D. in History from the University of Geneva and is a historical researcher at the Global Studies Institute (GSI, Geneva). He was born in Athens in 1983. His doctoral research focused on the history of the splits within the Communist Party of Greece. During 2017-2018, he conducted his postdoctoral research at the Higher School of Economics (Moscow) and the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (Paris), specializing in the political relations between the Communist International and Western communist parties in the Soviet Union during the 1930s. He teaches as a visiting professor in the Department of History, Political Parties, and Social Movements at Lomonosov Moscow State University. In 2019, he joined the research team at the Center for Russian, Caucasian, and European Studies (CERCEC) at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales. His first book, titled "Les communistes grecs et l’Union sovietique: histoire de la scission du Parti communiste de Grece (1949-1968)," was published by L’ Harmattan in France in 2016.
