Andreas K. Mpouroutis

Andreas Bouroutis is a historian-economist. He teaches at the Hellenic Open University (HOU) and has also taught at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Contemporary Diplomacy and Politics in the Eastern Mediterranean - Department of Political Science) and the University of Ioannina (Society and Economy in the Balkans - Department of History). In 2018, he published the monograph "The Bourgeoisie and European Schools of Thessaloniki (1888-1943)." His articles have been published in collective volumes and scientific journals in Greece and abroad. The Holocaust (Shoah) and Jewish communities in Greece and the Balkans are among his main research interests.
