Maria Ch. Themeli was born in Athens and studied at the Athens University of Economics and Business. She holds degrees in Journalism and Marketing Communications. She has worked in the corporate communications sector as the Director of Press & Communications at a major bank and served as a Communications Consultant for a Cultural and Arts Foundation. Today, she works for the world's largest professional networking organization. She is actively involved in organizing events for charitable purposes with a vision for a more humane society, promotes volunteerism, and assists through groups in the social structures (Social Grocery, Social Dining) of the Municipality of P. Faliro, where she resides. She believes in progress, stubbornly refuses to accept crisis, depression, and limitations. She loves the sea, traveling, and people. She writes articles on social issues for the local press and various other media outlets. She began writing at a young age, creating texts, short stories, articles, and fairy tales.
