Anthony Doerr

Anthony Doerr was born in 1973 in Cleveland, Ohio. He made his literary debut with the short story collection "The Shell Collector" (2002). This was followed by the novel "About Grace" (2004), the autobiographical book "Four Seasons in Rome" (2007), and his next short story collection, "Memory Wall" (2010). His second novel, "All the Light We Cannot See" (2014), reached the final shortlist for the National Book Award for Fiction and won the Pulitzer Prize in 2015, bringing him international recognition. In addition to writing books, he maintains a column on scientific books for "The Boston Globe" and collaborates with the online magazine "The Morning News." He lives in Boise, Idaho, with his wife and their two sons.
