James Robinson

James A. Robinson, a political scientist and economist, holds one of the nine university chairs at the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago. He is considered a world-renowned expert on Latin America and Africa. His research has focused on countries such as Bolivia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Sierra Leone, Haiti, and Colombia, where he has been teaching every summer for several years at the University of the Andes in Bogotá.
