Daron Acemoglu

Daron Acemoglu holds the Killian Professor of Economics chair at MIT. In 2005, he was awarded the John Bates Clark Medal, which is given to economists under the age of forty who have made significant contributions to economic thought and knowledge. In 2012, he received the Erwin Plein Nemmers Prize, awarded for work of lasting significance in economics, and in 2016, he was honored with the BBVA Frontiers of Knowledge Award in the category of Economics, Finance, and Management for his overall contributions.
