Maria Preka

Maria Preka is a graduate of the Department of History and Archaeology at the University of Crete. She also holds a master's degree in Turkology from the same department. Currently, she is pursuing her doctoral dissertation there, titled "Female Teachers in the Context of Irredentism." Her research interests include women's and gender history and the phenomenon of voluntary associations. She has been working as a philologist in Public Secondary Education since 1992.
