Panos Dimakis

Panos Dimakis grew up in Astros, Arcadia, and has been living in Athens for many years, where he studied English Philology. He worked for 18 months as a translator for the Organizing Committee of the 2004 Athens Olympic Games. He has translated Nikos Kazantzakis's works Captain Michalis and The Fratricides into English, as well as narratives from English and Italian. He appears on the quiz show The Chase as "The Hawk." Additionally, he teaches Business English and delivers lectures to company executives on knowledge, memory, and the connection between education and a company's goals. He speaks eight languages. He has authored the dictionary The Verbena Dialect, the English etymological dictionary Etymolexicon, and the novels Seventeen Threads, which inspired the television series of the same name, and The River of a Thousand Blinds.
